Q Spike Expected - Market Analysis for Oct 11th, 2006

Now that the Q's have clawed their way to a marginal ($0.04) new high at 41.79, we have to expect a spike towards the 42.00 "handle" next... That said, my work continues to warn me not to get sucked into the long side of the Q's (admittedly, my work has been sending me that warning every time the Q's have hurdled 40.00 for the past month) "up here." If the Q's pop to 42.00/10 and stop me out-- a subsequent decline that breaks below 41.30 will confirm that at the very least, a near-term top has been established.
